Pollution! In Los Angeles? No way!

I read an article today on Yahoo! (definitely one of their filler stories) today about the most polluted cities in the country.  Was I surprised that four out of the top five cities were in California?  NOPE.COM,

-FYI for those of you wondering Los Angeles was #2, and Bakersfield was #1.

Although the article was great to read as a filler story; I couldn't help myself from becoming annoyed by it.  Too often Yahoo! comes out with these "ranking articles" that truly do nothing but inform you of how screwed up a situation is.

So they say he's dead. Bin Laden that is.

So what does it mean? I understand that it's truly a victory for the United States, actually a great moral victory, but what does it truley mean?

I personally am a bit scared as to the repercussions the death of such an individual will have. This is unlike any other death we, as a people, have experienced.

Really think about it......the only other hate empire that has been dealt a blow like this was Germany when Hitler committed suicide, but even that doesn't compare. Unlike Hitler, Bin had an underground organization lead by hatred, religion, and backed by an endless supply of money. In addition, Hitler's whole empire was actually brought down. Bin Landen was definitely the head of the snake, but in no way should anyone think he was also the body.

Terrorism is not going to stop. In fact, it saddens me to say this, but I think it will only get worse. Now, all these radicals have a true martyr. Now, they have someone they can vindicate. I definitely think that Bin Laden's death was a MUST! But, at what price?

Seriously, if I open up any more web page and the first piece, or should I say, the featured story is based on the President's birth certificate I'm going to shoot myself.  Wait, no I won't, but Jeez come on people! 

You have like 90% of the country up Jan Brewer's ass because she wants outrageous immigration laws in the state of Arizona, yet the whole country is up the President's ass over his birth certificate.  Do you really think that our country is that retarded?  Oh wait, the same people (majority vote) that voted for him are the same people demanding/questioning his birth certificate.........so, maybe we are a little retarded.

Japan Hit Again By 7.4 Earthquake

Facts

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. local time (10:30 a.m. ET), a 7.4 earthquake rattled Japan yet again. As you can see in the picture, the map highlights the 9.0 quake which struck off the coast of Japan back in March, and it shows the one which hit today.

My Take

At this point, I don't really know what to think. I mean, has this truly been happening for years, but now that we have more media than ever - we're now privy to finding things out within seconds of anything happening? Is this just "mother nature" at its best or is this all part of God's master plan - whatever that may be?

I don't know, but I feel sad for Japan and at the same time, I remain worried about those of us who live in California. So much activity going on in the "ring of fire", it's a constant reminder that those of us who do live on the West Coast - we truly need to be ready.  It's all very ominous.

Sony "Anonymous" Hackers At Large

Bottom Line: Sony filed a lawsuit against two hackers and in an outrage, the hacker community self titled "Anonymous" has pledged to make Sony's life a living hell. Consequently, by proving their point, they also affect millions of PlaySation Network users - users like myself!

In a statement issued by the group, they went on to say:

"there has been a lot of hate spread throughout the internet and over the forums that we are being reckless and simply punishing consumers more than Sony. To the consumers I would say: before you judge us, take the time to understand us."

Umm...I'm pretty sure there isn't much to understand. I cannot log in to play Socom 4, due to you proving a point to Sony for utilizing the courts to their advantage, much like any other person in the United States can do when they feel they have a case (justifiable or otherwise). And as such, I like millions others are unable to play a game which has a window of about 8 days only to BETA test. 

What is left to understand?

At the end of the day folks, Anonymous feels people should be able to hack and jailbreak their own consoles as they please; after all, Apple fought the same case with their phones - and lost as it was deemed NOT illegal to hack. Sony on the other hand has banned people's accounts for hacking and jailbreaking. It's their console, it's their rules - right?

Well, "Anonymous" doesn't seem to think so.

So here is the real question I pose for you guys, did Anonymous REALLY cause the servers to be shut down, or did Sony take them down to protect themselves and gain support against Anonymous?

You be the judge, but I'd love to hear your thoughts for sure.
